Strong Winds In ENC

The winds increased overnight with wind gusts up to 35-40 mph inland and 45-50 along the coast.

High Wind Warnings were expanded over the northwestern portions of ENC where winds could gust as much as 50mph.

With the passage of the cold front last night, temperatures have decreased significantly as well as dew points which have dropped into the middle to upper 20s across the area.

This is a very strong system and was very interesting to watch as it developed last night as all the ingredients were in place for a major storm. As this storm continues to strengthen, the impacts on the northeast will be devastating as hurricane force winds, snow, and major coastal flooding can be expected.

Strong wind gusts in ENC will continue throughout the day Friday and into Friday night.
