Series Of Disturbances Monday-Wednesday Night
After another cold night, temperatures are now rising into the low to mid 40s and are expected to rise to around 50 by this afternoon. We are beginning to see a trough developing along the east coast which will be the next player in our forecast for the beginning of the week. We will see this trough move inland as a warm front increasing rain chances Sunday night. The heaviest rain will be mainly confined to the coastal sections through Monday morning.
A cold front passes through the area Monday afternoon/evening. High temperatures on Monday prior to the frontal passage look to be in the upper 60s where a strong southerly flow will be present. Temperatures will around 10 degrees colder on Tuesday than Monday. Temperatures will continue to go down as the week progresses.
There will be a series of disturbances moving across the country through our region Monday through Wednesday night. As they pass through rain chances will increase on Tuesday and Wednesday. They will also bring colder air with each one that passes through. The coldest temperatures next week will occur Thursday night/Friday morning. Right now I am going to go with an overnight temperature of 26 and daytime temperature of 40 though those numbers could tick down as we get further into the forecast period.
Rain returns next weekend as another cold front moves through the area.
I hope everyone has a great afternoon.
