Next Potential Tropical Disturbance In The Atlantic

The next system in the Atlantic we will be following over next next several days is this tropical wave in the mid-Atlantic Ocean. Rather unorganized now, forecast models have been indicating potential tropical cyclone formation as it approaches the Caribbean. There is still a large amount of uncertainty over both strength and track of the system as you would expect for forecasts over one week out.

One of the limiting factors right now hindering development is dry air from a large area of SAL to its west. If it can overcome this obstacle it has the potential to develop into a tropical cyclone as long as other environmental conditions remain favorable.

Other than this there is not a lot to discuss with this system though it bears watching over the next week.
