More Rain For Tonight
Rain has spread over most of ENC this evening and will continue on and off throughout the night. This should persist into Monday morning before the first system moves through the area and clears the coast. Temperatures have dropped into the mid 40s and should remain there until morning. Highs tomorrow will rise into the upper 50s. There is also a chance that the sun could come out at some time tomorrow which could lead to higher temperatures in some areas.
Rain returns ahead of the stronger shortwave trough swinging northeast over the mountains. This system will have more lift associated with it which will lead to more widespread heavy rain on Tuesday and Tuesday night. Current estimates are for 0.50″-1.00″ with some areas potentially seeing more. This rain will move offshore late Tuesday night with drier conditions following close behind. High temperatures on Tuesday will be tricky with an abundance of rain spread out over the area. Right now I am going with high temperatures in the mid 50s but could swing one way or the other before then.
