Monday’s Forecast
Rain returns to the area Monday as an upper level trough travels through the Ohio River valley sparking development of low pressure off the South Carolina coast. This low will move northeast as it parallels up the east coast. Rain will develop around the low and will move into the region from the southwest early Monday morning and will linger for most of the day before rain ends late from southwest to northeast. Forecast rainfall totals will be higher along the coast which could see rainfall amounts in the 0.50-0.75″ frame. Forecast totals decrease as you head inland with the central part of the state receiving around 0.01-0.10″ at most.
Temperatures Monday won’t fluctuate much as rain and clouds will keep high temperatures low to mid 50s inland and upper 50s along the Outer Banks.
