Moderate instability is moving it’s way into ENC this afternoon behind the passage of the warm front. A line of heavy showers is currently working through the central part of the state and should reach our are in the next few hours from west to east. As this line of showers interacts with the unstable air mass (marked in blue shade in the above image) thunderstorms could develop. The risk of severe thunderstorms will remain low through the evening. So gusty winds could be possible ahead of this line though and wind should remain below severe criteria.

I will keep monitoring the situation through the remainder of the afternoon.
