Invest 92L Forecast
We are keeping a watch on Invest 92L which has traversed the Atlantic and is currently stationary over Florida as an elongated area of low pressure bringing showers and thunderstorms to the Peninsula.
A cold front resides off the southeast coast just north of the invest. The past several model runs to show some development of this system as it slowly moves up the southeast coast where it will merge with the front before reaching tropical cyclone status. However, the effects will impact ENC through the beginning of next week. I expect this low to deepen along and off the southeast coast Sunday and Monday bringing the chance of heavy rain, rough surf, and gusty winds mainly along the immediate coast. The heavy rain could be more widespread reaching inland locations Monday and Monday night.
The low is expected to pull away from the region Tuesday evening with rain ending southwest to northeast Tuesday afternoon.
I will be keeping track of this system through the weekend and will update as needed.
