Slight Risk of Severe Storms
Threat of severe thunderstorms later this afternoon and into the evening hours. Mid-level short wave passes over the area this afternoon initiating scattered thunderstorms, a few which could be severe. The SPC has placed the southern portion of ENC in the Slight Risk category where the greatest chance of severe weather could occur. The main threat from these storms will mainly be limited to damaging winds.
