Marginal Risk of Severe Storms
Thunderstorm development has already begun in the northern counties but have remained below severe criteria so far. We can expect scattered thunderstorms across the area this afternoon especially along the sea breeze. Only a marginal risk of severe storms with damaging wind and hail the primary concerns with these storms. Expect thunderstorms to diminish after sunset with the loss of daytime heating. Afternoon forecast temperatures still on track for low 80s however temperatures where rain has already occurred could expect that number to be lower.
