A line over very heavy rain continues to move eastward over ENC. Greenville, NC has already reached 0.50″ of rain with more on the way.
The line stretches from Whiteville, NC to Knotts Island, NC and will continue pressing eastward through the early afternoon.
After the passage of the heavy line, moderate rainfall will occur through most of the afternoon. There will be a lull in the precipitation overnight with mostly cloudy to cloudy skies over the area. This cloud cover will also help keep temperatures in the lower 60s overnight.
Rain chances do increase again on Wednesday with highs in the 70s.
