Isolated Convection in ENC This Afternoon
For this afternoon, some convection has already started in the southern sections of ENC this afternoon. I expect these storms to continue to develop across those sections and potentially develop a little farther north as the afternoon progresses. With only a light breeze a typical summer-time environment will be in place. Mid-level impulse will traverse over the area this afternoon enhancing lifting increasing the chances of organized convection. Deep shear should lead to long-live cells with the highest concentration over the southern sections.]
These showers and storms will diminish shortly after sunset.
Typical summer-like weather will persist through the weekend and the beginning of next week. I will document more this evening.
