Wet Weekend Forecast for ENC
Scattered showers and thunderstorms should persist through the evening and overnight as an upper-level trough moves eastward towards the region. Numerous heavy showers and thunderstorms expected across the area Saturday with abundant moisture and decent instability leading to several inches of rain. Localized flooding will also accompany the heavy rain. Cold front moves across the area Sunday and will begin moving out of the area Sunday night. Chances of afternoon thunderstorms do persist throughout the next week however not as widespread as the past couple of days. High temperatures over the weekend will be slightly lower than normal due to cloud cover and rain but will return to near seasonable temperatures Tuesday through the rest of the week.
