The National Water Model analysis estimates areas currently inundated where modeled streamflow is signaling high water.
Not a storm-surge map
These products focus on river and stream flooding. NOAA notes that forecast inundation extents do not fully capture coastal processes. During tropical systems, use NHC storm-surge products separately.
Use as guidance, not a property-level guarantee
Modeled inundation can differ from observed flooding. Never use this map to decide whether it is safe to enter floodwater or ignore evacuation and emergency instructions.
