Monday’s Forecast
Rain moves into the area overnight as a backdoor cold front, assisted by high pressure to the north, moves southward over the area. Raleigh radar already shows showers moving into central NC and will continue to move eastward as the evening progresses. Heavy rain should persist through early morning on Monday then become more scattered during the afternoon. Forecast totals from the rain will be greater than 0.25″ north of a line from Fayetteville to Cape Hatteras and less than 0.25″ south of that line. Highs will struggle to reach the low to mid 50s.
