The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a 

* Tornado Warning for… 
Northeastern Northampton County in northeastern North Carolina… 
Northwestern Hertford County in northeastern North Carolina… 
Southeastern Greensville County in southeastern Virginia… 
Southwestern Southampton County in southeastern Virginia… 

* Until 730 PM EDT. 

* At 647 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing both 
tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage were located 
along a line extending from Dahlia to near Rich Square, moving 
northeast at 45 mph. A radar confirmed tornado is located near 
Pleasant Hill. 


SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation. 

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree 
damage is likely. 

* These dangerous storms will be near… 
Dahlia around 650 PM EDT. 
Conway and Claresville around 655 PM EDT. 
Green Plain around 700 PM EDT. 
Boykins around 710 PM EDT. 
Newsoms and Como around 715 PM EDT. 

Other locations impacted by these tornadic storms include Adams 
Grove, Pendleton, Bryants Corner, Worrell, Severn, Margarettsville, 
Branchville, Drewryville, Shiloh and Joyner. 


TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest 
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a 
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter 
and protect yourself from flying debris.
