Warren County in central North Carolina…
Granville County in central North Carolina…
Northern Wake County in central North Carolina…
Eastern Durham County in central North Carolina…
Franklin County in central North Carolina…

* Until 1030 PM EDT

* At 948 PM EDT, a line of severe thunderstorms stretched from near
RDU International Airport to Creedmoor to Kerr Lake, with
individual storms moving north at 50 mph as the line shifts east.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Henderson, Oxford, Creedmoor, Louisburg,
Warrenton, Wake Forest and Butner.


Straight line winds can blow down trees, power lines, and damage
mobile homes and other buildings. Seek shelter in a sturdy structure
until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows as flying debris
generated by damaging winds can be deadly.


A tornado watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for central North
Carolina. A tornado watch also remains in effect until 300 AM EDT for
central North Carolina.
