…A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHERN NASH AND WILSON COUNTIES…

At 629 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Bailey, or 12
miles southwest of Nashville, moving northeast at 45 mph. Doppler
radar is indicating 60 to 70 mph winds just off the surface with
this storm.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include…
Nashville, Wilson, Elm City, Bailey, Sharpsburg, Spring Hope, Lucama,
Middlesex, Black Creek and Saratoga.

Clayton, or 12 miles north of Smithfield, moving northeast at 45
mph. Doppler radar is indicating winds of 60 to 65 mph with this
storm.

HAZARD…65 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.
