* LOCATIONS...Virginia Beach south including the Outer Banks of
  North Carolina.

* TIMING...through this evening.

* SURF OR RIP CURRENT RISK...Breaking waves of 5 ft or more will
  result in dangerous surf conditions and a high risk of rip
  currents.

* SHORELINE IMPACTS...Breaking waves will result in beach
  erosion with only minor damage possible to dune structures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Surf Advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area...producing localized beach erosion and
dangerous swimming conditions.
