Thanksgiving Day Forecast Update

Scattered showers have reached ENC. Some places have already seen the rain while other could see some rain before this afternoon. Some heavier showers have situated themselves over northern portions of ENC slightly north of east. These areas can expect moderate to heavy showers over the next hour or two. Recent HRRR model shows the rain exiting the region this afternoon and most locations can expect to see conditions drying out before the end of the day.

Due to the early rainfall this morning high temperatures will be lower most likely only topping out at mid 60s. Areas in the south will probably not be affected by the early rain and overcast skies so a high temperature in the lower 70s.

Hurricane Otto has strengthened into a category 2 hurricane and continues to move to the west. We should see landfall over Costa Rica today and weaken as it moves over Central America.
